"The Dungeon" Gym in Santa Monica, CA of the 1960's served as the cities hardcore bodybuilding gym. Muscle Beach Gym of Santa Monica was moved to an underground basement of an old hotel, where rusted barbells and dumbbells set in a dimly lit cave with diluted beer from the ceiling from the old-timer’s tavern above.
